Trump’s Abortion Position

navigating principle, policies and November.
2

Donald Trump's position on abortion is a massive fail. Apply it to slavery: "It should just be left to the states and that should be the law of the land."

In fact, we amended our constitution with the 13th, 14th and 15th - specifically the 14th - AGAINST "leaving it to the states" so that AS A NATION every person's right to life is protected against individual state deprivation.

The life of a person begins at conception and shall not be deprived by any state, this is the only honest position to hold congruent with modern science, our American Constitution and the 14th amendment.

So what do we do with all this come November?

Jeremy posted a great distinction for those trying to navigate how to vote in November when our only options (who are actual dogs in the fight) are all disappointing cowards on the issue of abortion. Worth reading and considering:

I would add that it is important to not whitewash and bleach out candidate's horrific ideologies and policy positions just to get a falsely sainted version of the guy in office.

It is good to press for better policies and hold politicians who claim to be for traditional Christian values accountable to their failures and cowardice.

It is a worthy pursuit to vigilantly defend and contend for what is true and good and holy while allowing room for the real distinction that there is no perfect politician and in most cases, it comes down to choosing the lesser of two evils.

May God sanctify the hearts and minds of our leaders and may God have mercy on us.
